Not sure which wheelset fits you?
Find your perfect BikeBeat wheelset in a few steps based on your riding style, goals and budget. Or talk directly to our team.
Every Certified Pre-Owned wheelset is fully inspected by BikeBeat before it is offered again. We check true running, centering, spoke tension, hubs, bearings, freehub and visual condition. Submit your purchase request and tell us your requirements and maximum total budget.
Certified Pre-Owned wheelsets may come from demos, tests, showroom use or selected pre-owned returns. Every wheelset is technically checked and approved by BikeBeat before sale.
For riders who refuse to compromise on performance.
1,330 grams that make speed feel more direct
The decisive difference does not only appear at top speed – but exactly when you accelerate.
At just 1,330 g, the Maßstab AERO 55 combines an aerodynamic 55 mm rim with a weight normally reserved for significantly shallower wheelsets.
The result is not simply aerodynamics – but a wheelset that builds speed while still responding directly.
Your power input is translated without delay – from the first acceleration all the way to high speed.
- Instantly noticeable acceleration despite the 55 mm profile
- Direct handling at high speeds
- More efficient transfer of your power
Aerodynamics only makes sense if it also feels fast
The Maßstab AERO 55 was developed to combine aerodynamics and low weight in one system – without the typical disadvantages of traditional deep-section wheelsets.
The result is a wheelset that efficiently supports high speeds while remaining surprisingly direct under acceleration.
55 mm aerodynamics – without sluggish handling
Deep rim profiles provide clear advantages at speed – but can often feel sluggish. The Maßstab AERO 55 combines its 55 mm rim height with an exceptionally low overall weight, creating a riding experience that brings acceleration and aerodynamics together. The result: more speed without the feeling of additional mass.
Proven on the road
In the RoadBike 02/24 test, the Maßstab AERO received a “VERY GOOD” rating and impressed particularly with its low weight, surprisingly explosive acceleration and precise handling. In addition, the Maßstab AERO was selected by radsport-news.com for its “Best of 2024” selection.
Steel spokes by deliberate choice
The Maßstab AERO uses high-quality SAPIM CX Ray steel spokes – deliberately not carbon spokes. They are available worldwide, easy to replace and can be re-trued without complications whenever required. This ensures excellent everyday usability and long-term serviceability.
BikeBeat SuperLight hubs – developed for long-term performance
At the heart of the wheelset are the BikeBeat SuperLight Ratchet Straightpull hubs – developed for low maintenance, high reliability and direct power transfer. The bearings used are standardized and can be replaced at any time – either through us or through almost any specialist bike shop. Ceramic bearings and a 54T Ratchet are available as optional upgrades.
Built for speed – not for compromises
The Maßstab AERO 55 combines low weight, high stiffness and modern aerodynamics in a system engineered for real-world performance. Whether on fast training rides, in intense race situations or during long days on the road – it delivers speed that feels direct.
Performance that needs no explanation
1,330 grams with a 55 mm rim height is not a theoretical figure – it is a difference you can feel from the very first acceleration.

I was riding those wheels for one complete season now and could not be more happy with them! Light, strong and calm even with severe side winds – highly recommend my BikeBeats!
