For riders who refuse to compromise on performance.
1,220 grams that make your bike instantly more agile
The decisive difference does not only appear in a sprint – but exactly when your bike needs to respond to your power input.
At just 1,220 g, the Maßstab 35 combines low weight with a versatile 35 mm rim – developed for riders looking for lightness, control and everyday usability in one wheelset.
The result is not an abstract feeling of “riding lighter”, but a directly noticeable effect on handling: your bike responds faster, accelerates more easily and remains controlled and efficient even on longer rides.
- Instantly more agile riding feel
- Reduced inertia under acceleration and changes of pace
- Versatile performance for Road, Allroad and Gravel
Lightweight performance only makes sense if it remains versatile
The Maßstab 35 was developed to combine low weight, high stiffness and modern tire compatibility in one system. The goal was not to create an extremely specialized wheelset, but a setup that feels fast on the road, remains controlled on Allroad routes and also performs convincingly on Gravel.
35 mm rim height – light, direct and versatile
With its 35 mm rim, the Maßstab 35 offers a balanced combination of low weight, controlled handling and aerodynamic efficiency. The rim height makes it agile enough for steep climbs and changes of pace, while remaining stable enough for fast sections and long rides. The result is a wheelset that feels light, precise and efficient from the very first meter.
Hooked rims instead of Hookless
All BikeBeat Road and Gravel rims deliberately use traditional hooked rims instead of Hookless technology. This allows standard clincher tires with inner tubes to be used just as safely as modern tubeless setups. The result is maximum compatibility, easy handling and additional safety in everyday use.
Steel spokes by deliberate choice
The Maßstab 35 uses high-quality SAPIM CX Ray steel spokes – deliberately not carbon spokes. They are available worldwide, easy to replace and can be re-trued without complications whenever required. This makes the wheelset not only lightweight, but also easy to service over the long term.
BikeBeat SuperLight hubs – developed for long-term performance
At the heart of the wheelset are the BikeBeat SuperLight Ratchet Straightpull hubs – developed for low maintenance, direct power transfer and high durability. The bearings used are standardized and can be replaced at any time – either through us or through almost any specialist bike shop. Ceramic bearings and a 54T Ratchet are available as optional upgrades.
Built for every day – not for compromises
The Maßstab 35 is the most versatile road wheelset within the Maßstab series. It combines low weight with balanced aerodynamics and a reliable system design – for riders looking for a lightweight, fast and uncomplicated upgrade.
Performance that needs no explanation
Sometimes just a few hundred grams determine how direct and lively a bike feels. Here, 1,220 grams is not a marketing figure – it is a difference you can feel with every acceleration.
